The inauguration of a new football pitch took place on September 10 at the NCSPU. Nail Magdeev, the city Mayor, and the university trustees were present at the official ceremony.
The event was officially opened by Alfinur Galiakberova, the NCSPU Rector. She noted that a modern sports court opens up new prospects for the NCSPU students. They have a wonderful opportunity to engage in sports at a professional level, they can also practice teacher skills on this court during the classes with children. The Rector expressed her special words of gratitude to the trustees and Andrei Fomichev, the General Director of the Cardboard and Paper Mill named after S.Titov and to Oleg Korobchenko, the General Director of “Korib” who had made a great contribution into the construction of the court.
The Mayor welcomed the NCSPU students: “You study at a good educational institution: a wonderful team of professors, a wonderful team of students. I think you will make a difference having a worthy degree. The city is developing, we grow annually according to the number of people; here appear many good and necessary sports facilities. For the period of August-September, we opened three large sports facilities: a swimming pool, indoor football court, new ice palace. Everything is done to give you every opportunity to do sports in your free time. You have all the resources.”
Andrei Fomichev congratulated the NCSPU staff on the new academic year and gave a symbolic key to the Rector. The honored guests made an entry on the football and gave a start to a mini-football tournament.
A friendly match was held between: “NCSPU,” “CPM” and “KORIB.” The game was interesting and captivating. The “NCSPU” team finally won the first place.
Thus, a new sports tradition was given a start. Beginning with 2020, every autumn, the mini-football tournament will be held on this court. It will be called “the Fall games.” The NCSPU team will prepare for the Republican mini-football tournament. The students are sure that they will be prize winners training on such a court!
