Teachers from 8 regions of the Volga Federal District are trained at Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University

At the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University, the teacher development project in the framework of the National Innovation Platform “The organization of the education of disabled pupils” started its work.

200 teachers from 8 regions of the Volga Federal District are being trained at the courses organized by the NCSPU in cooperation with the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University. The participants are the teachers from the educational institutions of Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, the Perm Territory, Orenburg, Penza and Samara Oblasts.

The plenary meeting was held in the assembly hall of the NCSPU Building 3. Alfinur Galiakberova, the NCSPU Rector, opened the meeting by welcoming the participants. She told about the university activities and wished everyone effective work at the courses.

Ramil Khalimov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee (Naberezhnye Chelny), took part in the plenary meeting. He told about the system of education in Naberezhnye Chelny, about the construction of new schools and kindergartens. According to him, 119 thousand children live in Naberezhnye Chelny, 6 thousand of them are disabled children and children with special needs. The number of disabled children is growing year after year. So the training of the teachers for the implementation of inclusive education programs is now a priority issue for the system of education.

Significant work is carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan to improve the performance of the centers of psychological, educational, medical and social help. Natalya Ermolaeva, the Head of the Republican medical and pedagogical consultation, told about it in detail. She also raised the issues concerning the requirements to the teachers and the regional education system. The number of the authorities and teachers of the corrective schools amounts to 3090 people. Practically, all the teachers have special (speech pathology) education. In her speech, Natalya Ermolaeva also highlighted the relevance of inclusive education.

After the plenary meeting, the participants went to their lecture rooms. During the week, the leading specialists and practitioners of the Republican PMPC and the NCSPU professors will deliver lectures and conduct workshops. After a successful completion of the courses, the participants will be given certificates (72 hours).
