Springs are being protected by the NCSPU environmental society “Eco-Club”

The members of the club launched an action “Clear springs – clear water”.

The members of the club plan to clear up the territory near five springs.

The first “raid” was conducted on April 14; it was dedicated to the 30^th anniversary of the national park “Nizhnya Kama”. The members of the club cleaned the territory of the Borovetsky spring.

The head of the NCSPU environmental society Marina Kolpakova says: “We saw a very sad picture when one sunny morning we arrived at the territory of the spring. The bottles, cigarette butts, garbage and used face masks highlighted the level of the culture of the people. We hope against hope that clearing up the trash we set an example to the people of this city, to the visitors who come here to collect some clear water. Many of them thanked us. Some of them were embarrassed… but nevertheless we kept working and collected 38 packs of trash! We are proud that we have made the world a little cleaner!”

After the action, the members of the club took an interesting walk down the path called “Berendey’s kingdom”. The club decided to look after the spring and keep cleaning it.
