Primary school teachers were trained in improving digital competences

From 13 March until 20 March, as part of the implementation of the project “The development of soft skills for student teachers for work with persons with disabilities applying a Digital teaching simulator”, NCSPU conducted advanced training courses for the primary school teachers on “Digital technologies in primary education”. The lectures and workshops were given by the NCSPU leading professors: Irina Zakharova, Ph D in Psychology, NCSPU Associate Professor; Svetlana Grakhova, Ph D in Philology, NCSPU Associate Professor, the developer of the program “Digital technologies in primary education”; Nina Belyaeva, Ph D in Pedagogy, NCSPU Associate Professor; Alsu Mullakhmetova, NCSPU Professor. The students – members of the student scientific and methodological group “Digital technologies in primary philological education” under Svetlana Grakhova – worked as consultants.

The course participants improved the digital soft skills that are required for professional development in the area of applying cross-cutting digital technologies in teaching. During the training, the participants got familiar with the concept “cross-cutting digital technologies”, got acquainted with digital tools and their capabilities in teaching primary school students; they also acquired the necessary skills for building classes with the use of cross-cutting digital technologies. They tested a Digital teaching simulator for primary school students. The workshops were held at the NCSPU Technological Park and its laboratories.

During the final certification, the course participants presented their digital learning materials and training simulators.
