Professors of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University take part in International Forum on Russian Language and Literature

From June 13 till June 16, Kazan Federal University hosted the II International Forum on “The Russian Language and Literature as a Means of Russian Identity Formation and International Integration” dedicated to the 220th anniversary of KFU and to the 225th anniversary since the birth of A.Pushkin. The Forum aimed to consolidate the position of the Russian scientific and educational community in the world academic environment and to contribute to shaping a favorable image of the Russian Federation by expanding a partnership and the network of professional contacts.

On June 13th, the Institute for Strategy of Educational Development together with the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication held an All-Russian workshop for the young teachers on “Shaping Russian Identity by the means of the subjects “The Russian Language” and “Literature”: productive practices.” The speakers were the teachers of the Russian language and literature from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Vladikavkaz, Kazan, Kirov, Korolev, Kursk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nyandoma , Saransk, Chaikovsky and also from Tangshan (China).

Konstantin Kalinin, the Acting Head of the Department of Russian ad Tatar Philology, Deputy Head of ISPE, spoke on the “Historical commenting on the facts of the Russian language being a means of shaping cultural competency.” He told the audience about the work of the NCSPU research project which is aimed at establishing a methodological system of an in-depth study of the Russian language in the light of historical interpretation of language facts.

Valery Sonkin, a teacher of the Russian language and Literature of ISPE, acted as a moderator at the section “Russian literature and cross-literary dialogue in a contemporary context.” He spoke on “The use of associative analysis during the study of lyrics.” Valery Sonkin presented his methodological model of the associative analysis of the literary texts during literature classes.” This model has been tested as part of the textbook “The methodology of teaching literature. Associative analysis of a literary text” (the authors are K.Kalinin and V.Sonkin).
