Twenty years later, Gennady Emelyanov visits university

A senator of the Russian Federation Gennady Emelyanov is at Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University on a working visit. A guest of honor is given a university tour: he was shown the newly redecorated classrooms, complex research laboratories, the Technopark and Quantorium.

“The university enjoys good credibility: according to the ratings, it is in the premier league; according to performance monitoring data, NCSPU ranks 7 among the Russian pedagogical universities,” noted NCSPU Rector Alfinur Galiakberova.

Gennady Emelyanov claims that he visited NCSPU 20 years ago; during this visit he was amazed by the radical changes that had taken place in the educational establishment.

“I can still remember the pedagogical institute at the time when I worked as the First Deputy Head of Naberezhnye Chelny. If you start comparing the 1990s with today’s situation – it is night and day! The classrooms are equipped to the highest quality! You can see that the students are cared for. It impressed me most of all. Because our education is our future. And it is gratifying that qualified staff is trained here – in Chelny!” highlighted Gennady Emelyanov.

The senator RF thanked the Rector of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University for the warm welcome and assured her that he would visit the university again to see the learning process firsthand. Gennady Emelyanov also confessed that if he had such an opportunity, he’d gladly study at NCSPU.
