Raising mathematicians. Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University holds Mathematics Olympiad for high school students

  On October17, 2023, NCSPU Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science held the Olympiad for the schoolchildren. The event became an important milestone in the educational activity which is aimed to promote mathematics and computer science and identify the gifted young people.

The main aim of the Olympiad was to identify and develop the abilities of the schoolchildren in the area of mathematics and computer science. The organizers tried to establish a platform for the exchange of knowledge and skills; and also to give an opportunity to the high school students to demonstrate their talents and skills. The Olympiad served as a preparatory phase for the participation in more large-scale events and competitions such as an All-Russian Olympiad.

During an hour and a half, the participants were working at their assignments. It is important to note that the assignments had been developed to meet the school requirements; they also included the elements of logical thinking and creative approach.

The Mathematics and Computer Science Olympiad at Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University was not only a knowledge test but it also gave the participants an opportunity to exchange experience, get acquainted with like-minded people to continue exploring science. The best of the best will be awarded certificates.

NCSPU Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science plans to carry on the tradition of holding Olympiads which contribute to the development of today’s youth and help promote mathematics.
