First in this new academic year. Specialized scientific Saturday of psychological-pedagogical classes starts at NCSPU Technopark

In this academic year 2024/2025, NCSPU continued its work with psychological-pedagogical classes which were opened at schools. The number of such classes has increased this year: more than 60 classes started their work at schools in Naberehznye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Zainsk, Mamadysh, Mendeleevsk, Muslyumovo and other cities and towns RT. NCSPU provides scientific and methodological guidance to the psychological-pedagogical classes.

A special cooperation format is being provided at school №42: the curriculum includes the modules: The basics of pedagogy, psychology and communication. The classes in these subjects are given by the university professors.

The schoolchildren take part in monthly “specialized scientific Saturdays.” The classes are conducted by the professors from NCSPU Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and the Faculty of History and Geography.

The first “specialized scientific Saturday at NCSPU Technopark” was held on October 10th, 2024. Guzeliya Murtazina, NCSPU Associate Professor, gave a class on “Modern tendencies of the world and Russian economy.” The professor shared her knowledge on the relevant issues relating to economics which address both the global and domestic aspects. During the class, the schoolchildren discussed the key economic trends, the impact of digitalization on the economy and also the prospects of the development of certain sectors in the modern world. The schoolchildren were involved in the discussion and asked lots of questions which made the class interactive. Guzeliya Murtazina, “We are sure that such classes contribute to the development of interest to economic sciences and help our future applicants to understand better the relevant problems and opportunities which they might face in the future. Thanks everyone for participating!”

At the same time, Olga Gerasimova, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Computational Mathematics, and her students worked with the rest of the group. The schoolchildren learnt the basics of programming and discussed the prospects of their future projects. According to the impressions, “Noise and fuss – a typical picture for the first class, but not today.” The schoolchildren took their places in Room 103 of the Technopark. They were curious because they were supposed to immerse in the world of Python – the language which opens the doors to the IT world, the world of the neural networks and artificial intelligence. The second-year students Ilyaz and Lenar tried to bust the myth of the complexity of programming: “Python is like Lego, instead of Lego parts you have a code; with the help of this code you can create amazing things!” Firstly, the schoolchildren got familiar with the basics. The dry definitions became clear on simple examples. The culmination of the class was the program “Choosing the numbers from the set range.” It seemed simple. But when the cherished line appeared on the screens, the audience got amazed. Though there were surely difficulties. The class was over and it was unexpectedly early. The schoolchildren were reluctant to turn off the computers. To prevent the bugs, we created a Telegram channel for the schoolchildren. They are not only able to get the answers to their questions immediately but they can chat and discuss the topics relating to programming. At that moment it became clear that the classes would not be boring. The learning of Python promises to be not only useful but entertaining! The next class will be held on November 11th, 2024!
