Practically, the whole week spent in Volgograd but it passed so rapidly that our students and professors found it difficult to know it. The All-Russian Student Forum was held at Volgograd State Socio-Pedagogical University from October 24 to October 27. More than 400 representatives of more than 30pedagogical universities took part in it.
Our students and professors gained some practical knowledge, acquired some new skills, got s positive attitude and now are ready to put theory into practice.
Unadorned, these are their impressions from the trip.
“The Forum is a large-scale event which brought together experts, young teachers and students from teacher-training universities from 33 Russian districts. It impressed me not only with its scale but also with the participants’ openness to interaction and dialogue. I visited two educational platforms “Young educators” and “Russian language”. During the section, the participants shared their best practices; the winners of the category “The Best Teacher of the Year” and “The Best Head of School” gave presentations and lectures. The meeting with Ekaterina Filippova, a teacher of French, produced the most incredible impression. The young teachers shared their difficulties and successes at the meeting with the participation of the Rector Alexander Korotkov. The main message of the meeting was the call to unite by joining the Council of Young teachers or to establish our own,” says Anastasia Sinitchkina.
“The Forum was of a high standard. During the three days we took part in various discussions, workshops and got acquainted with colleagues from various districts. The presentations were informative and useful. The experts were the leading professionals and winners of All-Russian contests held in the area of education. This event gave us only positive emotions as every day was rich in practical and significant information. During the Forum, we managed to take part in various activities: a round table discussion with the participation of the Rector, interactive lectures, creative assignments, pedagogical cases, the discussion relating to the peculiarities of the implementation of the updated standards and a dancing flash mob. The most interesting event for us was our participation in an “Anticonference” during which the young teachers shared their experience of working in various educational institutions,” states Guzel Aglyamzyanova, a student of the Faculty of Philology.
“This Forum helped us to make sure that a teaching job nowadays is important and responsible. Every educator has a unique ability to influence people and the world at large, make it better. Everything is in our hands. Moreover, during the event we discovered many different ways to develop professionally: the participation in the contests, joining a trade union organization, becoming a member of a Council of Young Teachers,” says Alina Khakimova, a student of the Faculty of Philology.
“An important part was an Agreement proposal about the cooperation between the Ministry of Education RF and the Professional Union of the workers of education and science RF concerning the provision of premises for the trade union organizations, concerning the scholarships, financial assistance for holding cultural, sports events and for the activities implemented by the student government in university hostels,” noted Dmitry Gavrilov.
The solemn procession to the Mamaev Kurgan impressed the participants of the Forum most of all.
“What you saw earlier in the pictures was seen live – it was a hundred times better. We are so full of gratitude to those who defended Stalingrad for their feat during the Great Patriotic War,” said the students.
