The girl with a shy but a radiant smile is conquering tatami both of the national and international scale. A first-year student of NCSPU Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports has returned from Udmurtia which hosted the national competitions in hand-to-hand fighting among the young men and women aged from 12 to 17. A talented Anastasia shone in this prestigious tournament.
Anastasia is a multifaceted athlete who has been into sports since childhood. She played basketball when she was 9; after moving to Udmurtia she started mixed martial arts and hand-to-hand combat.
“When I saw my coach Sergei Antipov who used to inspire his pupils, I realized that I want him to be my coach. I moved to Tatarstan to train. I like Chelny and there are more opportunities for the development of sports,” claimed Anastasia.
Currently, Anastasia is a three-time champion of Russia in hand-to-hand combat, two-time champion in MMA and also a world champion in hand-to-hand combat. It shows her outstanding achievements on the world arena. Besides, the athlete won the third place in the track and field athletic cross which proved her universality and physical fitness.
Now she is preparing for the competitions. In February, she is supposed to be qualified for the Russian Championship and this requires collecting a definite number of points at the tournaments.
“I am getting ready for the Volga Federal District competitions which will be held at the end of this month. This is an important stage on my way to my dream,” said the girl.
Sport for her is not only a hobby but a purpose in life. She is NCSPU student and she plans to continue her training under the guidance of her coach who is also a student of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University.
“My dream is to win the UFC belt,” states Anastasia.
Anastasia inspires many people with her determination to win. Her story is an example of how dedication and diligence can lead a person to success.
