“It is a great incentive to keep going.” Naberezhnye Chelny hosts educational Forum “The growth points for young educators”

80 young and ambitious teachers from Naberezhnye Chelny, Tukaev district and Nizhnekamsk got to see each other and gain some experience. The Educational Forum “The growth points for young educators” brought them together. The fourth summit of the young teachers became a platform for some informal exchange between the specialists striving for professional growth. Traditionally, the event was initiated by the Council of young educators from Naberezhnye Chelny.

The participants were greeted by the Head of the Department for the Development of Supplementary Professional Education of the Ministry of Education and Science Roza Shayakhmetova, the Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny Viner Kharisov, the Deputy Mayor Ramil Khalimov, the Head of the Department of Education Rustem Khuzin, the Rector of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University Alfinur Galiakberova, the Director of a Pedagogical College Alfiya Galieva, an Advisor to the Mayor Fairuza Mustafina and the Chairman of the Education Trade Union in Naberezhnye Chelny Florit Khaliullin.

The Head of the Department of Education Rustem Khuzin noted, “Now you are young specialists. Every great teacher was once beginning their way. The aim of the Forum is to create an environment for communication and discussions of the problems.” He urged everyone to participate in the discussions and ask questions.

The Forum introduced the measures that should be provided to support teachers. In particular, the new grants for the teachers of physics and mathematics and housing certificates. These initiatives aim to promote a teacher’s job and support young teachers.

The two-day program is structured to let the teachers gain what they find necessary in their job. The representatives of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University gave a workshop on “The prevention of bullying in the educational environment.” (A,Ganieva PhD in Philology and R.Khusnutdinova, PhD in Psychology)

NCSPU Rector Alfinur Galiakberova offered to expand the Forum format: next year she suggested inviting a bigger number of teachers as the event seems significant for the teacher community.

The informal setting of the event allowed the teachers to reveal their talents and get to know their colleagues. “We were happy to take part in the team-building trainings,” said Elza Minnulova, a primary school teacher from school №21, Naberezhnye Chelny. Elza is NCSPU graduate. Her family dynasty has a 200- year-old history of teaching. She was playing school when she was a child; she liked to observe her grandmother – a teacher of Russian and literature – working.

Her career choice was predetermined.

“This Forum is not just a platform for exchanging knowledge; it gives us an opportunity to learn new things and get inspiration. I have been participating in it for the second time; I should note that you really have to reboot and begin your work with renewed vigor,” said Elza.

Regina Akhmetzyanova agrees with Elza. Regina is a kindergarten teacher. She says she is not disappointed with her job. On the contrary, she aims to find common ground with the kids and communicate something new and interesting to them. She herself likes to study.

The Forum identified the difficulties the young teachers can face: accommodation, adaptation, lots of paper work and difficulties in the communication with parents. “All these things will be worked on and the answers will be found,” said the organizers.
