A month ago, the students of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University
went to Kyrgyzstan to work at the schools in Bishkek and Karakol. Yana
Minnimullina and Lyaisan Sagidullina taught primary school in Bishkek. Elvina
Shaigardanova and Elvira Khusnutdinova worked as math teachers in Karakol.
Today, these three young teachers are coming home to Naberezhnye Chelny.
Elvina, a third-year student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science,
decided to continue her work in Kyrgyzstan for one more year.
According to Lyaisan Sagidullina,
“As good as it is here, I missed my home, my native land; I have been thinking
about my family, friends and about my life in Chelny. The internship went very
well! The colleagues were very friendly to me, accepted me well and informed me
about everything. During my internship, they used to help me when I had problems
or questions. The kids were also good; they got used to my methods very quickly.
The atmosphere was favorable. For the first time in my life, I got emotionally
attached to the kids; and it was so difficult to part with them! I can state: it was an
excellent experience. Yes, firstly, I was a bit worried as I didn’t know what awaited
me; then everything went smoothly. It was getting better and easier soon; you
understand the requirements and do what you are supposed to do. The main thing
was the fun and desire that I had. The learning was in Russian; they talked in
Russian and sometimes I had a feeling that I hadn’t left my country.”
Elvira Khusnutdinova worked in the fourth largest city of Kyrgyzstan - Karakul.
She told us about her work with various classes.
“ The schoolchildren of high school were quiet and focused on the studies. The
material was really interesting for them to learn; they asked questions and we
solved mathematical problems together and viewed them from different
perspectives. The middle-school children, on the contrary, were active and
energetic. Everyone was eager to come to the board and show their knowledge. In
my school, many of us were too shy to answer the questions in front of the class.
The classes lasted until lunchtime and then the schoolchildren went out for a walk.
In the evenings, we got ready for the classes; selected the necessary materials and
planned our classes. I have only positive impressions! I never regretted going
there. I gained new experience, met with wonderful kids and colleagues.”
Yana Minnimullina complains that she didn’t have enough time to admire thenature of Kyrgyzstan.
“After work, we used to take walks, get familiar with the sights; moreover, the
weather was good. At the weekends, we had excursions: Issyk-Kul, Ala Archa
National Park, the canyons of Konorchek. It was a lifetime experience!”
Elvina Shaigardanova decided to stay in Karakol.
“I’ll surely miss my family; but the school here is very good. I think I’ll have no
time to miss my home when I start my work.”
In August, 2024, the Ministry of Education RF continued to select teachers for the
participation in the project “Russian teacher abroad.” The teachers are offered jobs
in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The teachers of primary school, physics,
Russian, computer science, chemistry, biology and mathematics are in great
demand there.
