Artek brings together nearly 2000 schoolchildren. Students of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University participate in New Year celebrations as counselors

Nearly 2000 schoolchildren became the participants of the 15th session called
“Artek’s Christmas stories.” They celebrated the New Year together and their
session in Artek will last until January 20th. According to the press office of the
Ministry of Education RF, the schoolchildren got familiar with the history of
Artek, spoke about traditional family values, took part in creative, sport and
entertainment events.
The students of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University joined the
events. Recall that Milyausha Yamilova, Valeriya Vlasova, Anastasia
Mukhamatullina, Nargiz Mirkhodzhaeva, Anastasia Titova and Kamilya Khafizova
have been working as counselors there since November. Timur Zaripov, Lyudmila
Semyonova, Arina Antonova and Leonid Larionov came to Artek at the beginning
of December.
The schoolchildren together with their counselors performed winter ritual songs.
Together with the teachers they discussed some family New Year traditions that
were described in literary works.
Besides, the schoolchildren took part in the series of lectures on “The
conversations about the most important things”; they also wrote letters to the
soldiers, congratulated them on the New Year and sent them New Year gifts.
The New Year session at the camp also included the Day of the First, a New Year
party for the workers of Artek, an educational game “A Christmas stir”, the game
called “A trip to Christmas” and a concert “A Christmas tale of Artek.”
According to Nargiz Mirkhodzhaeva,
“I had my best colleagues during this session. The work at the camp depends
heavily on team cohesion. If you and your colleague have a common goal, the
children will be in a situation of success. What concerns the events during the New
Year session, I can confess, we had difficulties. The children arrived on December
30th and they found it hard to adjust to new surroundings. And there were lots of
activities here! In general, everything went well”!
