The head of the Ministry Rinat Sadykov announced that a number of mass youth
events are planned in Tatarstan in the year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the
Great Patriotic War. One of them is the "80 days to Victory" campaign, which
starts on February 19
"Diverse events that will involve young people will be held on a daily basis aimed
at preserving historical memory, perpetuating the memory of the heroes and
soldiers of the Red Army, the labor feat of the Soviet people, and the continuity of
generations," the minister explained.
The "80 Days to Victory" campaign will end with an exhibition of the institutions
of military-patriotic education, military equipment and achievements of defense
enterprises on Millennium Square in Kazan on May 9
Tatarstan's youth has already begun to be included in the agenda of the events
dedicated to the Victory anniversary. For example, telegram channels post daily
facts about battles and heroes, stories from personal archives, memories of
veterans and home front workers, information about events and promotions, and
much more. Also in January, we will launch the campaign "Snow Landing of the
Russian Arctic. Victory Landing," the minister continued.
Further plans include the launch of the “Memorial Watch” campaign, according to
which Tatarstan search teams will go on an expedition to identify the places of
death and burial of the remains of Red Army soldiers, as well as the transfer to
relatives the medallions of Soviet soldiers found by search teams. A number of
traditional events will also be held, too: "St. George's Ribbon", "Red Carnation",
"Victory Dictation" and many others.
"Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University will take part in the events to
celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory Day. We have already drawn
up a plan that is full of various events: from the All-Russian St. George Ribbon
campaign to flash mobs, concerts, theatrical performances, making trench candles,
collecting humanitarian supplies," said Marina Sikacheva, Vice Rector for
Educational Work of the University, who listened to the report of the Minister of
Youth of the Republic of Tatarstan.
