NCSPU Kamsky Mathematical Center holds tournament “Experts” in Mendeleevsk

The second mathematical tournament "Experts" was held in Mendeleevsk,
Tatarstan, bringing together the schoolchildren of middle school from the
Mendeleevsky district. The Kamsky Mathematical Center of Naberezhnye Chelny
State Pedagogical University came to the schoolchildren with the most interesting
logical problems.
The participants were divided into 14 teams, each consisting of four young
mathematicians who were ready to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. The
venue of the competition was the local Center for Children's and Youth
Competencies. The tournament was opened by the head of the Department of
Education Rais Nazipov, who warmly welcomed the participants and wished them
good luck in the competition; the participants were also welcomed by the Dean of
NCSPU Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science Elena Krasnova.
"We came to the tournament with a team of students from the Faculty of
Mathematics and Computer Science, who are ready to help young experts cope
with the mathematical problems. The tournament consisted of three stages, each of
which included three tasks. After each stage, the participants had the opportunity
to analyze the mathematical problems, which allowed them not only to test their
knowledge, but also to learn new methods of solving them," said Elena Krasnova.
NCSPU students conducted interactive activities, too, including dancing and other
entertaining activities.
According to the representatives of the KMC, the series of mathematical
tournaments will continue in Mendeleevsk, and the competitions are part of the
annual plan of NCSPU Kamsky Mathematical Center.
The participants of the tournament admitted that they had enjoyed their time at the
tournament and now they are looking forward to the next stage.
