“All the suggestions will be surely taken into account.” Sergei Kravtsov holds meeting on the strategy of education up to 2040

According to the press service of the Ministry of Education of Russia, a district
meeting to discuss the Strategy for the development of education until 2036 with a
view to 2040 was held at the Federal Technopark of Vocational Education in
Kaluga. Sergey Kravtsov, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation,
welcomed the participants via video conference. The event brought together about
300 specialists from 48 regions of Russia – the heads of educational authorities,
teachers and professors,
"The representatives of all regions of our country participate in the discussion of
the Education Development Strategy. A district meeting that was held in Vologda
brought together the teachers and experts from the Northwestern Federal District.
Today, the next stage of the discussion is being held in Kaluga. Education plays a
key role in shaping the worldview of the younger generation. Therefore, we need a
Strategy that is focused on creating a national sovereign education system. We will
definitely take all your suggestions into account when preparing the document. I
would like to thank you all for participating in this important event, as well as the
authorities of the Kaluga Region for organizing it," said Sergey Kravtsov, the
Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.
The Minister of Education RF claimed that more than a thousand experts are
involved in the preparation of the Education Development Strategy; over 40,000
proposals from RF citizens have been received through the Gosuslugi portal.
Sergey Kravtsov stressed that the Strategy should be based on the achievements of
the education system, including the quality of education, victories in international
Olympiads, a well-established education system, infrastructure projects for the
construction and renovation of schools and kindergartens. He listed five main
challenges that should be outlined in the Strategy: the need to ensure technological
leadership and a sustainable and dynamic economy, the world order transformation
and the war of values against Russia, demographic decline, the rapid development
of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, and unequal starting opportunities
for fractured social groups.
The meeting was also addressed by Vladislav Shapsha, the Governor of the Kaluga
Region, and Sergey Shevchukov, the Director of the Department for the
Implementation of Public Projects at the Office of the Plenipotentiary
Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal
District.
Vladislav Shapsha noted that the training of certified personnel is the mostimportant task that faces the country's economy. According to him, the Kaluga
Region alone will need about 64,000 specialists in the next seven years. According
to the Governor, the active involvement of the professional community,
government authorities, and the public in the development of the Strategy will
make it possible to create a complete, effective product that will take into account,
among other things, the specific nature and the needs of the regions.
He highlighted the importance of the quality of educational work in the education
system.
"Today, it is the education that determines the vector of application of acquired
knowledge. Here we deal with traditional spiritual values, family, love,
responsibility, solidarity, and service to the Fatherland. Educational processes are
built around these fundamental principles," Vladislav Shapsha emphasized.
The education Development Strategy until 2036 with a view to 2040 is being
developed in accordance with the instructions of the Russian President Vladimir
Putin and coordinated by the Presidential Administration and the Russian
Government. District meetings are held in all federal districts.
In addition, Sergey Kravtsov held a meeting on the Federal Technopark of
Vocational Education in Nizhny Novgorod, the functioning of the Federal
Technopark of Vocational Education in Kaluga, and the concept of holding the
finals of the Professional Skills Championship.
