A scientific and methodological seminar on “Modern Technologies of Teaching
Russian as a Foreign Language: The Experience of Russian and Algerian
Teachers” was held at Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University
(NCSPU). The event was organized as part of the international partnership “Russia
- Algeria: Traditions and Modernity” between Naberezhnye Chelny State
Pedagogical University and the University of Algiers 2 - the Abou El Kacem Saad
Allah.
The seminar was attended by Affaf Belouaissa and Assia Essad, lecturers from the
Department of Turkish and Russian Languages at the Faculty of Arabic Philology
and Oriental Languages of the University of Algiers 2 - Abou El Kacem Saad
Allah, as well as L.Shakirova, Director of the Institute of Continuing Professional
Education at NCSPU; L. Galiev, Head of the International Relations Office; R.
Galiullin, Head of the Preparatory Department; L. Brazhnik, Head of the
Department of Russian as a Foreign Language and Intercultural Communication;
K. Kalinin, Acting Head of the Department of Russian and Tatar Philology; and A.
Tarasov, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language
and Intercultural Communication.
During the seminar, the educators exchanged experiences in teaching Russian as a
foreign language, discussed innovative methodologies, and outlined plans for
further cooperation. Such collaboration helps to develop universal approaches to
teaching Russian as a foreign language, taking into account the specific ways
learners perceive Russian culture both within and outside the natural linguistic and
didactic educational environment.
The seminar marked an important stage in the development of internationaleducational practice between Russia and Algeria, contributing to the formation of
new approaches to teaching the Russian language.
