Organizing Committee of National Center “Russia” holds first in-person meeting to summarize results of year 2025 and discuss plans for year 2026

The first in-person meeting of the Organizing Committee of the National Center
“Russia” was held, where the results of the center's work in 2025 were summarized
and plans for 2026 were discussed. Additionally, a ceremonial opening of the
exhibition “Geography Lessons” took place. Participants included First Deputy
Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office and Chairman of the Organizing
Committee Sergey Kiriyenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry
Chernyshenko, Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, and other members of the
organizing committee.
“The mission of the National Center is 'To know and love Russia. To be proud of
the past, value the present, and build the future. To inspire the country and lead
the world in its wake.' Time flies very quickly. Very soon, those same children who
left the National Center with stars in their eyes will be determining the fate of our
country,” said Sergey Kiriyenko.*
Since the National Center's establishment, over 900 events have been held. The
center considers families with children and young people its primary audience, and
the best indicator of its work is the sense of pride for one's country that visitors feel
after attending its events.
The General Director of the National Center Natalya Virtuozova reported on the
results of the center's work in 2025 and plans for 2026 She noted that the center
hosts business, cultural, educational, and international events that are significant
for the whole world.
Another key event in the life of the National Center is the construction of a new
space, which was launched by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, on March
26, 2026
Following the first in-person meeting of the Organizing Committee of the NationalCenter, a ceremonial opening of the exhibition “Geography Lessons” took place.
This is an educational project for the whole family that shows how geography has
shaped Russia's history and culture, united peoples, and inspired discoveries. The
ceremony was attended by First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential

Executive Office and Deputy Chairman of the National Center “Russia”
Organizing Committee Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry
Chernyshenko, Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, and other members of the
National Center “Russia” Organizing Committee.
The exhibition “Geography Lessons” is being held at the National Center until July
9th. It connects the past and the present - from the first maps and expeditions to
modern space and territorial exploration technologies. Here, geography is revealed
as a story about people: travelers, researchers, pioneers, whose efforts helped
develop vast territories and expand humanity's understanding of the world.
