Professor of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University takes part in Republican Historical and Philological Olympiad as an expert

On March 24, Kazan Petrochemical College named after V.Lushnikov held a Republican Historical and Philological Olympiad “The history of Russia in literature and language”. The students of vocational educational establishments took part in it. The students were from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Elabuga, Bugulma, Menzelinsk and various districts RT. The Olympiad has been in the list of events initiated by the Ministry of Education of Education and Science RT.

Konstantin Kalinin, Deputy Head of the NCSPU Institute for Supplementary Professional Education, PhD in Philology, was Chairman of the jury. The Olympiad was held in two phases. The tasks tested the participants’ knowledge of different subjects: history, literature and Russian. The participants analyzed classical texts from the point of view of historical events, characterized the historical and cultural environment in the works and commented on the obsolete words. The expert committee evaluated the participants’ answers and awarded the winners.

Konstantin Kalinin gave a workshop on “The mystery of the origin of the Russian word; he also told the participants about the NCSPU and the possibilities of the access to university.
