Round table for teachers of biology and chemistry held at NCSPU Technopark

During a round table with the participation of the biology and chemistry teachers on “Building natural science literacy applying the equipment of the Technopark”, Nina Kalinina, a professor of the Department of Common Humanitarian and Natural Sciences, told the teachers about the application of the equipment of the Technopark to build natural science literacy due to the implementation of the new educational standards.

The teachers, who represented some districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, gave their presentations. Nina Yakimkina, a teacher of chemistry from Nizhnekamsk (school №10), summarized her experience in the presentation “The methods of creating the tasks to check natural science literacy at school”. In her presentation, Irina Osipova, a teacher of biology from school №23 (Naberezhnye Chelny) told the participants of the round table about the building of natural science literacy during biology classes. Liliya Gilfanova, a teacher of biology from Lyceum №35 (Nizhnekamsk), got the participants familiar with the methods of mnemonics.

The participants gave nine presentations on current topics relevant for teaching biology and chemistry. It was noted that practical work, which is carried out in modern laboratories, gives the teachers an opportunity to solve topical problems of education. The presentations led to the discussions; then the participants were given an NCSPU Technopark tour and got familiar with the work of the equipment of the laboratories.
